Freedom Forage Friends

£325.00

Two horses stand together against the vastness of the mountain landscape, their quiet companionship reflecting something fundamental to a horse's nature.

Freedom, the ability to forage, and the company of others are essential to a horse's wellbeing. Yet these simple needs are so often overlooked. This painting is a reminder of what it means for horses to live as horses — free to roam, to form bonds, and to belong to a world shaped by their own instincts.

An original painting from Postcards from the Wild Horse, a collection developed during my time as Artist in Residence at Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary in California. Living alongside the wild herds deepened my understanding of the relationships between horses, the land they inhabit, and the freedom they need to thrive.
