Awarded winner of the Abstract World category at the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year at The Mall Galleries in London.
Together We Stand is inspired by my month spent observing and drawing wild horses during my USA artist residency. It reflects the quiet strength and unity found within the herd, with the lead mare subtly anchoring and guiding the group.
Depicting horses gathered in close presence, the work speaks to resilience, protection and shared instinct, where individual forms merge into collective energy. The painting explores connection and belonging and the essential role of leadership in survival and harmony in nature.
