In the meantime here are some FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS that may help you if you are considering a Horse Art Commission .

  • I like to allow approx 3 months to make a bespoke artwork as I work with many layers but this will depend on the commission requirements you will get regular updates from me during this time.

  • I understand that commissioning an artwork can feel like a leap of faith ! However I will never leave you with a painting that you were not happy with. That’s why I like to involve my customers in the process at the beginning to get a clear understanding of their expectations . There is also an opportunity towards the end when the painting has sufficiently come together I will show you the work and you will be able to review and make changes.

  • Yes absolutely ! You get to choose the colour palette if you wish .I like to sit down with clients and discuss where the painting will be hung and take into account the interior decorating and soft furnishings in the room. and of course if you want me to reference the particular colours and characteristics of your horse. Equally I am happy to advise and make suggestions.

  • As a rough guideline I charge 20% on top of my standard pricing structure. For a full list of prices please fill in the form to receive my Commission Brochure .

  • The minimum size for a bespoke painting is 60x60cm and I can work upwards to any size as required.

  • My style of working is to create expressive semi-abstract paintings that capture the essence of the horse’s energy, character and features. I don’t create a hyper realistic version of your horse - I leave that to photos or other artists that can create this kind of work. I like to create a painting of your horse that you will connect with on an emotional and visceral level. However I will be working from reference photos /videos of your horse and you can choose which elements you would like to feature so it is my intention to represent your horse in a manner that you will respond to.
