My Practice
Exploring creativity through horses, observation, and mark-making
Practice offers an insight into the way I work, shaped by close observation of horses, time spent on the land, and the physical acts of drawing and painting. I approach the work as I do the horse — with attention, patience, and sensitivity — allowing gesture, pressure, and rhythm to emerge through looking, waiting, and responding. Marks accumulate on the surface as a record of movement, presence, and exchange between hand, material, and subject.
“Horses satisfy that deep longing within us to connect to the intimate wildness of all that is”
